On the Sosh
Since last time – more than a year ago – things certainly belly flopped on the social media front. Xitter may be dead – dead to us, at least – but that’s not to say we’re not out there on the sosh. Bluesky is probably our primary hangout, though most of our automated content posts to Mastodon and Threads, too. (For the two latter: Mastodon is turning more depressingly dull by the day, and I don’t think any of us even log onto Threads.)

15 years have passed since Brütal Legend hit the scene, which spurred Jason to do what Jason does: Write an article about it. Dubbed “Relitigating Brütal Legend,” it takes a look back at the weird history of the game, and what lead Tim Schafer to call Bobby Kotick a dick. What a time to be alive!
Trivia of the Week
From Return to Monkey Island: Wander the Mêlée Forest—seemingly in Casual Mode only—and you’ll meet a bespectacled creature hiding out. In code, it’s referenced as pineapple_person. Was it responsible for the death of the explorer found in The Secret of Monkey Island? We may never know.
