Well, it has been a few weeks since we published an Adventurer – blame a CEO-mandated (no-pay) vacation – so here’s what you possibly have been missing out on:
Benzo kept deep-diving into Tales of Monkey Island’s debug mode. Part one left us on a cliffhanger with grand promises of an investigation into the secrets behind the F2 key. And not wanting to be a dirty liar, Benzo kept his word. Full warning: It gets technical.
New game updates! Sort of, anyway… In a job posting for a “Senior Community Manager,” Double Fine reveals they have an upcoming multiplayer game on the way:
Granted, that doesn’t really reveal a whole lot, but we take what we can get.
Meanwhile, over on Steam, you can enjoy some A Vampyre Story 2 background art work. Always a treat for the Tillerheads.
Those lost Psychonauts 2 levels: Back at Double Fine, the studio started publishing a series on levels that didn’t make it into Psychonauts 2, kicking it off with “The Quarry”:
Three others followed:
And, finally, Ronzo is back in the spotlight. Thanks to the always great Laura Cress.
Other than the expected Death by Scrolling chatter, you can learn that Ron is done with point-n-click adventures (OK, minor hyperbole). Of course, he also has a plot in mind for a Thimbleweed Park sequel, so who even knows? Ron is a fickle friend.
Breaking News! Death by Scrolling designer Elissa has guest-posted some notes on the game’s levels over at Grumpy Gamer.
Not really trivia as such, I suppose, but this is as good a time as any to enjoy some Ransome insults.
Last time we asked what your feelings about Tales of Monkey Island were. 60% (correctly) said “Great game!” while 27% went with “Good; no qualifier needed.” 10% picked “Good; episodic format let it down,” and 3% clicked the wrong option (“Not my thing”).
This week, we're checking in on Death by Scrolling.
